Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• A complete learning experience in the Graphic Arts field in a team like structure.

Projects/Responsibilities include:

Group Sales

  • Learn from Group Sales Manager how to promote Group Sales events such as group theme nights, family shows, Broadway series shows and other events to group customers.

  • Learn to conduct research for specific target markets, create promotional materials and how to develop and implement event promotions

  • Oversee preshow party activities before concerts. This will include brainstorming and coming up with ideas for decorations and interactive ideas to entice people to buy a preshow party package. This will also include meeting with Ovations, coming up with a menu, meeting with local groups to secure music, and meeting with the Global Spectrum staff to brainstorm ways in which to sell this package to contribute to the revenue for the Augusta Entertainment Complex.
  • Oversee maintenance of database information, including number of members, cleaning the list, working to analyze lists, separating lists into "event type buckets," coming up with new and creative ideas to always add to the database, and helping in the overall efforts to help sell tickets online.
  • Coordinate and represent the Augusta Entertainment Complex and promote events via booths/tables at festivals, fairs, and other events with high traffic to publicize arena and events. This will require creativity in presenting the events at the booth, as well as organization in researching events, calling to reserve space, and staffing each event.

OVERVIEW:

Students will learn to creatively and enthusiastically handle demands and function in a fast-paced, high-volume environment through exposure to the day-to-day operations of the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation and high-profile situations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

College juniors, seniors, or graduate students. Candidates with majors in Accounting, Finance, Business, Marketing, Communications, or Management are preferred. Working knowledge of MS Office applications preferred. No financial compensation is available and housing and transportation are the student’s responsibility.

INTERNSHIP OBJECTIVES:

  • Intern with the Snider Hockey Director of Finance and other staff with exposure to our fundraising and development functions, day-to-day finances, and with communications projects
  • Work with nonprofit accounting software, cash receipts and disbursements, the A/P process, and other accounting functions
  • Learn the preparation and coordination process for Snider Hockey events, including Flyers game night activities, and other events conducted by Comcast-Spectacor entities.
  • Attend meetings and learn to respond to internal and external inquiries, maintain databases, and conduct preliminary research.

Summary:

The Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation uses the sport of hockey to foster academic and personal excellence among at-risk students in Philadelphia, PA and Camden, NJ.  The Hockey Operations Intern will provide support to all Hockey Operations staff to successfully prepare and deliver quality ice hockey and life skills programming to students at Snider Hockey ice rinks throughout the Philadelphia area. This position is open to students looking to gain well-rounded experience and exposure to aspects of the Sports Industry including Sports Management, Community Relations and Coaching.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Prepare and execute on/off-ice activities and programs at Snider Hockey ice rinks.
  • Assist Hockey Ops staff in planning and coordinating Snider Hockey special events.
  • Provide administrative support by assisting with internal and external inquiries, website and database maintenance, contacting participants, and conducting preliminary research.
  • Develop and distribute newsletters and related promotional materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Ice hockey experience is important but not mandatory.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Create event information and scheduling in Ungerboeck Management System.
  • Meet with facility clients in advance of events and assist in determining event needs.
  • Provide information and direction to operations and support staff including audio/visual, telecommunications, set-up, custodial, maintenance, security, and admissions personnel.
  • Prepare AutoCAD drawings, layouts, diagrams, instructions, set-up requirements, and supporting documentation for each event and distribute to appropriate staff; communicate changes before and during events.
  • Submit service request to appropriate departments to schedule event staff according to client request; meet with clients to resolve set-up changes; ensure compliance with applicable fire, building, and safety codes.

  • Prepare written evaluations of the events; distribute to appropriate management staff.
  • Answer questions and provide information to facility clients; support sales department to determine if prospective clients are appropriate for facility use; conduct facility tours as needed.
  • Prepare written cost estimate to all clients in advance of their event as well as to prospective clients.
  • Maintain accurate and complete files, records and other documents relating to assigned responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Inter will also perform general customer service duties.
  • Assist with day-to-day building and planning operations: organizes data, attends appointments with clients, takes detailed notes etc.

Job Description:

Graphic Design intern will be working alongside the business development team in promoting the Philadelphia Flyers through business initiatives and content. The internship position includes but is not limited to graphic design, editorial content, and video editing. Interns will gain experiential learning in the sports industry. Candidates must be able to collaborate on projects, take direction, and manage workload in a timely manner. The ideal candidate would demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects from inception to completion in a fast-paced environment.

 

Part-time and full-time internships are available.  Both office hours (M-F 9-5) and game days/nights are required.

 

Duties may include:

  • Design graphics for web and other marketing media

Job Description:

The Sandler Center for the Performing Arts, Virginia Beach’s world-class venue for performing arts, is looking for a college junior, senior, or graduate student to serve as an intern. The Winter Marketing internship will begin in Late December/Early January and continue through the beginning of April.

This position is unpaid.  Internship must be for college credit.

Intern Responsibilities:

·         Manage distribution of printed materials to local businesses, resorts, and restaurants

·         Manage online event calendar listings

·         Assist with social networking outreach including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram

·         Assist with creation of marquee information while managing current content

·         Create and maintain database of high school, college, and community organizations

·         Serve as liaison to local high schools and colleges in an effort to increase awareness of Sandler Center           performances

·         Assist with marketing plans and materials for Dancing with the Seniors weekly series, Out of the Box weekly series, and March event Kids’ Arts Palooza.

·         Assist with the Education Series including direct mailings, flyers, and other distribution to schools

·         Work closely with the Marketing Coordinator and Special Projects Coordinator on brochures, playbill, and Sponsorship fulfillment

·         Manage archives of previous playbills, news articles, and press releases

·         Actively participate in planning sessions for marketing plans for upcoming shows and performances specifically detailing ideas for grassroots marketing

·         Assisting with Cyber Club maintenance

·         Assist with Ynot Wednesdays summer series preparation.

Minimum Requirements:

Summary:

The Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation uses the sport of hockey to foster academic and personal excellence among at-risk students in Philadelphia, PA and Camden, NJ.  Primary learning opportunities include assisting with the development and delivery of academic programming and support at community centers throughout the Greater Philadelphia area.  Intern will also provide support to supplemental aspects of academic programming including report card collection. Internship is conditional on the successful completion of a criminal background check.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Coordinate academic activities at community centers in the Philadelphia area including literacy initiatives, tutoring, homework help, and college/career readiness.
  • Build partnerships with local colleges and universities, elementary and high schools, and education-focused non-profits.
  • Attend meetings, assist with internal and external inquiries, maintain databases, and conduct preliminary research.
  • Develop and implement Targeted Intervention program to assess and support youth at risk of dropping out of school.
  • Build and maintain relationships with youth and their families.
