Qualifications:

Group Sales

  • Learn from Group Sales Manager how to promote Group Sales events such as group theme nights, family shows, Broadway series shows and other events to group customers.

  • Oversee preshow party activities before concerts. This will include brainstorming and coming up with ideas for decorations and interactive ideas to entice people to buy a preshow party package. This will also include meeting with Ovations, coming up with a menu, meeting with local groups to secure music, and meeting with the Global Spectrum staff to brainstorm ways in which to sell this package to contribute to the revenue for the Augusta Entertainment Complex.
  • Oversee maintenance of database information, including number of members, cleaning the list, working to analyze lists, separating lists into "event type buckets," coming up with new and creative ideas to always add to the database, and helping in the overall efforts to help sell tickets online.
  • Coordinate and represent the Augusta Entertainment Complex and promote events via booths/tables at festivals, fairs, and other events with high traffic to publicize arena and events. This will require creativity in presenting the events at the booth, as well as organization in researching events, calling to reserve space, and staffing each event.

Position Title:

Marketing & Social Media Internship

Hours/Schedule:

Areas of Focus include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

  • Assisting the Marketing and Group Sales departments for all upcoming shows, including various concerts and family shows

  • Under the close supervision of a regular employee, participate in grassroots marketing, including researching places to distribute flyers, hanging posters, and creating relationships with various retailers to promote events

College juniors, seniors, or graduate students. Candidates with majors in Accounting, Finance, Business, Marketing, Communications, or Management are preferred. INTERNSHIP OBJECTIVES:

  • Intern with the Snider Hockey Director of Finance and other staff with exposure to our fundraising and development functions, day-to-day finances, and with communications projects
  • Work with nonprofit accounting software, cash receipts and disbursements, the A/P process, and other accounting functions

The Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation uses the sport of hockey to foster academic and personal excellence among at-risk students in Philadelphia, PA and Camden, NJ.  The Hockey Operations Intern will provide support to all Hockey Operations staff to successfully prepare and deliver quality ice hockey and life skills programming to students at Snider Hockey ice rinks throughout the Philadelphia area. This position is open to students looking to gain well-rounded experience and exposure to aspects of the Sports Industry including Sports Management, Community Relations and Coaching.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Prepare and execute on/off-ice activities and programs at Snider Hockey ice rinks.
  • Assist Hockey Ops staff in planning and coordinating Snider Hockey special events.
  • Provide administrative support by assisting with internal and external inquiries, website and database maintenance, contacting participants, and conducting preliminary research.
  • Develop and distribute newsletters and related promotional materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Ice hockey experience is important but not mandatory.

Summary: This internship will work closely with the sales department to market the Las Cruces Convention Center and/or events at the venue through a variety of traditional and non-traditional means. This is an opportunity to learn how to produce and execute consumer shows and to learn how to creating public awareness of the Las Cruces Convention Center.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • College Junior, Senior or Graduate Student
  • Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management Major at NMSU is an advantage

The Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation uses the sport of hockey to foster academic and personal excellence among at-risk students in Philadelphia, PA and Camden, NJ.  Primary learning opportunities include assisting with the development and delivery of academic programming and support at community centers throughout the Greater Philadelphia area.  Intern will also provide support to supplemental aspects of academic programming including report card collection. Internship is conditional on the successful completion of a criminal background check.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Coordinate academic activities at community centers in the Philadelphia area including literacy initiatives, tutoring, homework help, and college/career readiness.
  • Build partnerships with local colleges and universities, elementary and high schools, and education-focused non-profits.
  • Attend meetings, assist with internal and external inquiries, maintain databases, and conduct preliminary research.
  • Develop and implement Targeted Intervention program to assess and support youth at risk of dropping out of school.
  • Build and maintain relationships with youth and their families.

Comcast-Spectacor, owner and operator of the Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League, Global Spectrum Ovations Food Services, Paciolan, Front Row Marketing Services, and Flyers Skate Zone is looking for a full-time college student to serve as a Marketing Department Intern for events held at the Wells Fargo Center.

Requirements:
• Must be a college junior, senior or graduate student studying a related major
• Student is not required to receive college credits for this internship
• Financial compensation of $8/hour will be provided for this internship
• Travel and housing arrangements are the responsibility of the student.
• Availability to work nights and/or weekends when necessary.

Hours:
• Student must be available to work a maximum of 30 hours per week – including both office hours and event hours. Most events will occur on evenings and weekends.

The Complex Marketing Intern will:
• Learn to conduct and implement market research studies used to establish and execute effective marketing plans for events.
• Learn to develop and execute grassroots marketing campaigns promoting selected Wells Fargo Center events, with primary focus on the Wells Fargo Center family shows and concerts.
• Assisting the marketing staff at booths/tables at festivals, fairs and other events with high traffic to publicize the arena and our events
• Learn to pitch non-cash agreements with media outlets (print, radio and/or television) to promote Wells Fargo Center events.
• Assist with Public Relations efforts for events, including drafting and distribution of press releases and media advisories, gathering of news clips, creation and delivery of media drops, updating of media distribution lists, supervision of media at events, and brainstorming and execution of Public Relations events.
• Develop a marketing and public relations recap for events, based on feedback and effectiveness of marketing strategies used.
• Assist with social media efforts of the marketing department.
• Recognize and understand the components of sponsorship, sales and operations as it applies to the marketing and promotion of Wells Fargo center events.
• Participate in all supervised events, game-day activities, promotions and set-up.
• Opportunity to shadow other departments within the Wells Fargo Center.
• Assist marketing department with daily office tasks.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

HR Intern Coordinator/Recruiter

Location:                             Wells Fargo Center (Philadelphia, PA)

Reports To:                          Employment Manager

Status:                                 Internship / Temporary; Paid / College Credit (not required)

Hours/Schedule:          Based on Intern’s schedule; prefer student seeking 30 – 40 hours per week,                                                          Monday to Friday (preferred)

Qualifications:

  • Open to college juniors, seniors and grad students seeking an internship
  • Business Administration/Management, Human Resources, Sports Management or related majors preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel 
  • Must demonstrate a positive, professional and customer-focused attitude

Internship Objectives:

  • Continuous communication/update of all relevant parties with regards to the Internship Program
  • Maintain and update internship files in an organized fashion
  • Learn to effectively screen applications and resumes
  • Learn to effectively interview candidates
  • Learn to use industry-specific recruitment software and other recruitment resources
  • Learn to maintain HR-related records
  • Learn the set-up and execution of “How You Doin!”events (HYD is employee engagement program)
  • Participate in the design of and creative concepts for contests/events
  • Assist with the compilation of program data
  • Attend meetings with vendors
  • Project research
  • Attend HYD meetings
  • Assist in working with other Global facilities to expand/ integrate HYD program
  • Assist in the set-up and take down of HYD materials in the building
