ATHLETIC SALES MANAGER - Tsongas Center (Lowell, MA)
Bachelors Degree from accredited college/university in a related field required
Minimum of 2 years sales experience, preferably in college athletics or professional sports, required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language required
Demonstrated ability to manage numerous business relationships in a professional manner
Superior time management skills and presentation skills
Must possess attention to detail, organization and ability to listen
Must be resourceful, proactive and goal oriented with a think yes attitude
Must be highly motivated with the desire to develop professionally
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Knowledge of Paciolan ticketing system preferred
Knowledge of Salesforce CRM system preferred
Essential Job Functions:
Provide proactive sales efforts for Full Season, Partial Plans and Group Sales ticket package for UMass Lowell hockey and men’s and women’s basketball events
Develop relationships with existing Season, Partial and Group Sales accounts to proactively retain and grow sales
Work within the community to network and establish relationships with new business leads that develop into sales.
Work with Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing and Promotions and Assistant General Manager to develop strong a strong sales plan that incorporates, Seasons, Partial Plans, FEP’s and theme nights
Conduct proactive outbound sales campaigns to prospect for new business and promote FEP’s and theme night opportunities and assists in meeting or exceeding established sales goals. 75 plus calls per day seasonally
Submit weekly reports on activity and revenue
Work within ticketing system and CRM
Juggle multiple responsibilities to deadline to include inbound and outbound calls and servicing of customers and event days.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as dictated with event schedules

While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee constantly operates a computer and other office devices such telephones, copy machines, fax machines, etc; occasionally moves about inside the office to access storage areas, cabinets and office machinery; occasionally moves about the arena before/during/after events to service client and perform job functions; constantly communicates via telephone, email and in-person with others to exchange accurate information.
The duties of this position are usually performed indoors. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud during events and minimal during non-event times.
