Facility Operations/Security/Event Management: Conversion Crew
CHANGEOVER MANAGER - Budweiser Gardens (London, ON)

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Event Changeovers; planning, coordinating, supervising, and performing
  • Responsible for hiring, motivating, training, scheduling, discipline and supervision of changeover staff
  • Perform rink maintenance as assigned by Director of Operations
  • Coordinate event logistics as requested by Event Manager
  • Supervise operations staff for non-event tasks
  • Maintain and clean Changeover equipment and areas
  • Assist Director of Operations, Event Manager and Audio/Visual Technician with projects as requested
  • Adhere to all Global Spectrum Policies and Procedures
  • Ensure staff complies with the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Communicate “assigned task” status with the Director of Operations
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Operations
  • Assist the Event Coordinator with all facets of Event Coordination

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of conversion staff part time payroll by reviewing hours in ADP and making any adjustments or notes as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School or vocational diploma required
  • Experience with event changeovers and the general functions of the Operations Department
  • Knowledge of supervisory principles, with emphasis in working with and training a “casual” staff
  • Must be able to work flexible and sometimes demanding schedules; including: nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Possess a working knowledge of Audio/Video and Information Technology Systems

INTELLECTURAL/SOCIAL DEMANDS:

While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits. Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including: following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. Sales & Marketing: Marketing
MARKETING COORDINATOR - Budweiser Gardens (London, ON)

Summary: This position with the assistance of the Director of Marketing is responsible for creating marketing, advertising and promotional plans for upcoming events; preparation of marketing advertising settlements for concerts and shows; Cyber Club email blasts; coordination of special events and promotions for upcoming events and is responsible for the Budweiser Gardens Centre Tour program.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Marketing in creating marketing, advertising and promotional plans for upcoming events at Budweiser Gardens
  • Assist the Director of Marketing with the preparation of marketing advertising settlements for concerts & shows
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of programs for the Neolane system and communication with Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement in order to create Cyber Club email blasts to patrons of the facility
  • Responsible for creating, maintaining and updating the content on venue social media platforms.
  • Responsible for the content of the website and a liaison with the IT Department to make necessary additions, corrections or revisions
  • Responsible for arranging advertising content with graphic designers for local magazines, Business London, London Free Press and other publications
  • With assistance from the Director of Marketing shall also be responsible for the creation of Third Party Partnerships, arranging meetings with potential partners and working with existing third parties to promote upcoming events
  • Assist the Director of Marketing with the coordination of special events and promotions for upcoming concerts, events and family shows
  • With assistance from the Director of Marketing shall also be responsible for the creation and implementation of grassroots marketing plans to promote upcoming events.
  • Responsible for the daily activities of interns within the Department
  • Responsible for the Budweiser Gardens Tour Program which consists of creating the program, scheduling and providing guided tours of the facility
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • BS or BA degree (or equivalent experience) required. Willingness to work the hours necessary to meet the Marketing Department’s objective

Accountabilities:

Oversee Marketing Department’s Interns. Performs the departmental administrative duties and assists the Director of Marketing in ensuring a high standard of excellence in regards to the marketing department objectives

OPERATIONS MANAGER - Budweiser Gardens (London, ON)

Responsibilities:

  • Assume management responsibility for all services and activities involved in maintenance and operations, including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, chillers, refrigeration, ice making, boilers and associated equipment
  • Plan, direct, coordinate, and review the work plan for facility maintenance and operations; meet with staff to identify and resolve problems; assign work activities, projects and programs; monitor work flow; review and evaluate work products, methods and procedures
  • Participate in the development and administration of the Operations budget; forecast of additional funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies; monitor and approve expenditures; implement adjustments as necessary
  • Oversee the set-up of events with the Event Manager; coordinate facility arrangements with concessionaires and vendors; direct and monitor the work of contractors, engineers, and architects on building projects
  • Order supplies and materials for maintenance programs within budget guidelines; receive and maintain supplies
  • Maintain hazardous materials communication program, material safety datesheets and required records and permits; maintain knowledge of changes in pertinent Federal, State and Local regulations
  • Develop and maintain an accurate record keeping system
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in building maintenance including at least two years of supervisory responsibility.
  • Completion of twelfth grade with specialized training in the building maintenance of HVAC or related building systems.
  • Familiarity with OSHA requirements.
  • Knowledge of boilers, chillers, refrigeration, electrical, HVAC and ice making helpful.
  • Ability to climb stairs and lift 40 lbs, unaided.
