DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS - Budweiser Events Center (Loveland, CO)

Reports to: General Manager/AGM

Supervises: Chief Engineer, Operations Changeover Manager, Technical Services Manager

Summary: To manage, supervise and coordinate the maintenance and operations of buildings, equipment and grounds for the assigned facility as well as the Ranch complex; to act as Chief Engineer for assigned facility; and provide highly responsible staff assistance to the assigned facility director.

Job Functions:
• Assume management responsibility for all services and activities involved in the maintenance and operations of assigned facility including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing equipment, custodial services, and grounds keeping.
• Select, train, motivate and evaluate supervisory staff; provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline and termination procedures.
• Plan, direct, coordinate, and review the work plan for facility maintenance and operations; meet with staff to identify and resolve problems; assign work activities, projects and programs; monitor work flow; review and evaluate work products, methods and procedures.
• Participate in the development and administration of the Operation budget; forecast of additional funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies; monitor and approve expenditures; implement adjustments as necessary.
• Oversea the set-up of events; coordinate facility arrangements with concessionaires; direct and monitor the work of contractors, engineers, and architects on building projects.
• Order supplies and materials for maintenance programs within budget guidelines; receive and maintain supplies.
• Maintain hazardous materials communication program, material safety date sheets and required records and permits for underground storage tanks; maintain knowledge of changes in pertinent Federal, State and Local regulations.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required for the facility as well as the Ranch complex.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in building maintenance including at least two (2) years of supervisory responsibility.
• Experience/Specialized Training in the repair and maintenance of HVAC or related building systems.
• Bachelor’s degree or better from an accredited college/university in a related concentration strongly preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in the English language.
• Ability to work beyond normal business hours as required, including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and select holidays.
• Familiarity with OSHA requirements.
• Possession of an electrical license is highly desirable.
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills.

EVENT MANAGER - Budweiser Events Center (Loveland, CO)

Location: Budweiser Events Center (Loveland, CO)

Reports to: Assistant General Manager

Supervises:  Event Services Staff

Type:    Full-Time; Salaried; Exempt

Summary:   The Event Manager is responsible for planning, organizing and controlling events within the facility as assigned and monitors the logistical interfacing of these events, to include but not limited to preparing event outlines and scaled drawings of event areas and coordinating equipment distribution and event billing.  The duties will include all event coordination tasks after events are booked through their conclusion.  Ensures tenant requirements are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to, by serving as a liaison between the facility and tenants; assists tenants in the planning of their own events; and performs related responsibilities as required. May be required to work extensive hours including nights and weekends. Supervise and train up to two full-time employees or the equivalent in part-time employees at any given time and have the authority to hire or fire and the authority to make recommendations for hiring and firing of employees. 

Job Functions: 

• Meet with facility clients prior to events and assist in determining event needs to advance shows; schedule related staff; provide information and direction to operations and support staff including audio/visual, telecommunications, set-up, custodial, maintenance, security, and admissions personnel.
• Prepare drawings, layouts, diagrams, instructions, set-up requirements and supporting documentation for each event and distribute to appropriate staff; communicate changes before and during events.
• Submit service request to appropriate divisions and departments to schedule event staff according to client request; meet with clients to resolve set-up changes; ensure compliance with applicable fire, building and safety codes.
• Serve as a facility representative at events by enforcing facility policies and procedures throughout each event.
• Identify and resolve event problems and public complaints.
• Prepare written cost estimates to prospective clients; coordinate and settle event financials.
• Hire, train, supervise and evaluate event staff including ushers, ticket takers, security, parking and merchandise as well as promoting and ensuring the “How you doing?” customer service program is adopted and well performed by all staff.
• Receives, responds to and resolves complaints from tenants and patrons.
• Monitor part-time event staff hours using eTime; allocate hours to each event worked;  approve time worked at the end of each pay period.
• Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of Associates’ Degree; Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in Event or Facility Management.
• Candidate should possess leadership, supervisory and organizational skills and be able to function in a multi-task environment.
• Strong written and oral communication is vital.
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Word & Excel.
