Sales & Marketing: Corporate Sponsorship Sales
CORPORATE SALES MANAGER - Front Row Marketing (Sarnia Sting) (Sarnia, ON)

Summary:

Oversee and manage the sale and servicing of corporate sponsorships for the Sarnia Sting of the Ontairo Hockey League (OHL).

Qualifications:

  • Preferred minimum of 2-3+ years of experience in advertising or sports sponsorship/arena sales
  • Proven track record of generating new business and retaining clients
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in sales, public relations, business administration, hospitality management, or other related field
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Work, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays is required

Job Functions:

  • Manage and participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities of all corporate sales programs and activities
  • Prospect, sell, activate and maintain corporate sponsorships for the Sarnia Sting
  • Work closely with other FRMS staff in the region to prospect and close warm leads
  • Design sales proposals and presentations for potential corporate partners
  • Prepare advertising and sponsorship contracts and addenda; identify issues with contract language; address issues with and make recommendations for resolution; negotiate corporate sales pricing and other rates as required
  • Work closely with Sting ownership and senior management to leverage current relationships (both business and personal in nature) into corporate support of the team
  • Achieve corporate partnership revenue goals and budgets
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of contractual fulfillment obligations including tickets, signage and other branding and promotions (with assistance from team)
  • Work with corporate partners and outside agencies to get all branding created and placed in a timely manner
  • Interact in a professional manner with senior level executives and venue management
  • Work cooperatively with the Director of Marketing on securing media sponsorship revenue that is budget relieving trade
  • Oversee the service of corporate partnerships through various means including direct contact, newsletters, partner gatherings and client entertainment events
  • Create new client initiatives to better serve corporate partners
  • Track prospecting, sales and inventory, and manage sales reports
  • Develop inventory control systems (with assistance from FRMS corporate)
  • Other duties as assigned

DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS (Radford University) - Front Row Marketing Services (Radford, VA)

DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS – FRMS / RADFORD UNIVERSITY

Reports To: Front Row Regional Manager with dual reporting to Athletic Department Administration (RADFORD UNIVERSITY)

Job Summary: The Director of Corporate Sponsorships is responsible for overseeing and executing the sponsorship and corporate partnership sales effort on behalf of Radford Univeristy, located within the commonwealth of VA. Basic functions include the extensive sales, development, and servicing of corporate sponsorship and partnerships while maintaining high levels of client service.

Status: Full-Time; Salary + Commissions

Job Functions will include but not be limited to:

·         Responsible for prospecting, selling, cultivating and maintaining the sponsorships, advertising and corporate partnerships for Radford University Athletics and its facilities

·         Responsible for achieving established sales goals and budgets as set by management

·         Responsible for making cold calls & presentations for the property

·         Responsible for overseeing, coordinating corporate partnership fulfillment

·         Responsible for servicing all corporate sponsorships through various means including direct contact, newsletters, corporate partner gatherings, etc.

·         Responsible for creating new client initiatives to better serve the corporate partners

·         Responsible for the design of sales proposals and presentations for potential corporate partners

·         Responsible for creation/implementation of new ideas/opportunities that drive revenue

·         Work with the marketing department on opportunities to cross-sell corporate partners

·         Responsible for tracking prospective sales and inventory throughout the season

·         Responsible for working and attending events, promotions and Front Row Marketing events

·         Responsible for cultivating and building a good working relationship with different personnel and departments within the  Radford University system

·         Other duties as assigned by FRMS management and key University personnel

Qualifications:

·         Must have extensive sponsorship sales experience – minimum of 3 years in sales, preferably in the collegiate or professional sports marketplace

·         Preferably has advertiser contacts and relationships in the

·         Demonstrates or has prior advertising/sponsorship experience/knowledge of regional corporate market and/or industry.

·         Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experiences

·         Proficiency with data processing and MS Office applications

·         Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and all events (as required)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of extensive and proven integrated sales experience with demonstrated success in the media, sport sponsorship or entertainment fields
  • Experience in junior hockey and/or Ontario preferred
  • Proven track record of generating new business and retaining clients
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in sales, public relations, business administration, hospitality management, or other related field
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Work, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays is required

  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of contractual fulfillment obligations including tickets, signage and other branding and promotions
  • Work with corporate partners and outside agencies to get all branding created and placed in a timely manner
  • Interact in a professional manner with senior level team executives and management
  • Work cooperatively with Director of Operations and Director of Food and Beverage Services to increase revenue through the inclusion of corporate partnership elements (cash or budget relieving trade) in venue(s) service agreements
  • Work cooperatively with the Sting/Venue staff on securing media sponsorship revenue for the team on specific events that is budget relieving trade
  • Work with FRMS Regional Vice-President to identify opportunities for assistance from FRMS Corporate HQ to increase sales, prospects and opportunities
  • Oversee the service of corporate partnerships through various means including direct contact, newsletters, partner gatherings and client entertainment events
  • Create new client initiatives to better serve corporate partners
  • Track prospecting, sales and inventory, and manage sales reports
  • Manage corporate sales and select premium seating inventory in a fiscally responsible manner
  • Other duties as assigned
