Sales & Marketing: Corporate Sponsorship Sales
DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS (Philadelphia Area) - Front Row Marketing Services (Philadelphia, PA)

DESCRIPTION:
The Director of Corporate Partnerships is a senior level position responsible for
overseeing and executing the sales efforts of a high profile, major sports, entertainment
and leisure property in the Mid-Atlantic region.

REPORTING STRUCTURE:
Reports to Front Row Marketing Regional Manager with dual reporting to the client.

STATUS: Full-Time; Salary + Commission

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have extensive sponsorship sales experience – minimum of 7 years in sales.
• Preferably has advertiser contacts and relationships in the Mid-Atlantic region.
• Naming Rights experience a plus.
• Demonstrates or has prior advertising/sponsorship experience in the Philadelphia market.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Proficiency with data processing and MS Office applications.
• Ability to work nights, events, weekends, and holidays, as required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (including, but not limited to):
• Execute a marketing plan/project timeline.
• Develop sales leads using the Front Row regional and national network.
• Negotiating, closing and implementing advertising and sponsorship deals.
• Solicit, develop, and service sponsorship, advertising and promotional partners for accounts.
• Develop proposals and sales materials to market assets.
• Create and implement grass roots sales campaigns to maximize account awareness and exposure.
• Leverage sponsors to ensure that they are promoting the client.
• Completing and updating reports and tracking systems.
• Oversee weekly reporting and client communication.
• Lead sales presentations on behalf of FRMS and the client.
• Other duties as assigned by FRMS Management and the client.

DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS - UNIVERSITY OF NORTH DAKOTA ATHLETICS - Front Row Marketing Services (Grand Forks, ND)

Status: Full-Time; Salary + Commissions

Reports To: Front Row Regional Vice President with while also working with a liaison to the University of North Dakota Athletic Department Administration
 

Job Description: The Director of Corporate Partnerships is responsible for overseeing and executing the advertising, sponsorship, and corporate partnership sales effort on behalf of University of North Dakota Athletics. University of North Dakota sponsors a twenty (20) sport intercollegiate athletics programs that compete at the NCAA Division I level with the majority of those programs becoming members of the Big Sky Conference beginning in 2012-13. The Men’s and Women’s Hockey Programs are members of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA). The Men’s Hockey Program is a member of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC). Basic functions include the extensive sales, development, and servicing of corporate sponsorship and partnerships while maintaining high levels of client service.

Duties (including but not limited to):
• Responsible for prospecting, selling, cultivating and maintaining the sponsorships, advertising and corporate partnerships for University of North Dakota Athletics and its facilities in both new and existing business.
• Responsible for soliciting new cash partnerships
• Responsible for achieving established sales goals and budgets as set by the Regional Vice President
• Responsible for making cold calls & budget relieving trade sales presentations for the property
• Responsible for overseeing, coordinating and executing corporate partnership fulfillment
• Responsible for working with Athletic Department to create and place partners’ signage/element
• Responsible for creating season recap summaries for corporate partners
• Responsible for servicing all corporate sponsorships through various means including direct contact, newsletters, corporate partner gatherings, etc.
• Responsible for creating new client initiatives to better serve the corporate partners
• Responsible for the design of sales proposals and presentations for potential corporate partners
• Responsible for creation/implementation of new ideas/opportunities that drive revenue for University of North Dakota Athletics
• Work with the athletics marketing department on opportunities to cross sell corporate partners
• Responsible for tracking prospective sales and inventory throughout the season
• Responsible for working and attending events, promotions and Front Row Marketing events
• Responsible for cultivating and building a good working relationship with different personnel and departments within University of North Dakota Athletics
• Other duties as assigned by Regional Vice President and the liaison from University of North Dakota Athletics

Qualifications:
•Preferably previous sponsorship sales experience – and/or a minimum of 3-5 years in sales, preferably in the collegiate or professional sports marketplace, or media related fields.
• Preferably has advertiser contacts and relationships in the North Dakota and Minnesota region
• Demonstrates or has prior advertising/sponsorship experience/knowledge of local corporate market and/or industry
• Previous experience in a similar working environment.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Proficiency with data processing and MS Office applications
• Ability to work nights, all events, weekends, and select holidays as required, in addition to normal business hours
• Must follow all NDUS, UND, State, NCAA, conference and other regulations and guidelines to ensure complete compliance

Compensation:
• Salary and commissions will commensurate with qualifications.
