Finance/Internal Audit: Controller/Director of Finance
DIRECTOR OF FINANCE - Global Spectrum, Pueblo Convention Center & Memorial Hall (Pueblo, CO)
To manage, supervise and coordinate the activities and operations of multiple accounting functions, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the general ledger of the facility.
In addition, the position will oversee Human Resource and General Administration.
Minimum of 3 - 5 years professional accounting experience including at least one year of supervisory responsibility
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, finance, public or business administration or a related field
Knowledge of SAGE 100 and ADP software strongly preferred
Previous Arena/Hotel/Convention Center accounting experience preferred.
Certified Public Accountant preferred
Manage and participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities of assigned programs and functions including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivables, purchasing, budgeting and the general ledger for the Convention Center and Memorial Hall Theater.
Select, train, motivate and evaluate accounting staff
Manage and participate in the development and administration of the Convention Center and Memorial Hall’s annual budget; direct and provide consultation to department managers in the forecast of additional funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies; direct the monitoring of and approve expenditures; implement budgetary adjustments as necessary.
Reviews all contracts for client, events, subcontractors, food and beverage or concessionaires.
Reviews and/or prepares event settlements.
Reviews and executes all checks and deposits; reviews daily cash receipts and disbursements.
Monitors and projects daily cash flow
Reviews all purchasing of capital assets, office supplies and facility supplies.
Coordinate the accounting activities of the facility in relation to the annual audit; serve as liaison for the Accounting Section with other departments, division and outside auditors; negotiate and resolve significant and controversial issues.
Prepare Monthly Financial Packets and distribute to Corporate, Client Administrator and General Manager

ELECTRICIAN - Global Spectrum, Gila River Arena (Glendale, AZ)
The electrician is responsible for monitoring lighting, power distribution, power plant equipment and reading / interpreting control circuits, schematics, diagrams, blueprints and specifications to ensure proper arena operations. Recent related facilities experience (Plumbing, Locks, HVAC, Chillers, or Boilers etc.).

Position responsible for troubleshooting electrical problems as may arise on any and all Arena equipment.
On venue during events at the Arena, to identify and resolve facility electrical issues.
Completion of construction, renovation and electrical projects.
Other duties as deemed necessary or as directed.
Required knowledge, Skills and abilities
Must possess recent related experience – preferably in a multi purpose Arena
Must possess a solid electrical background and experience for all facets of their field.
Must have the knowledge to interpret and read blue prints.
Solid understanding of OSHA and all related safety procedures.
A complete working knowledge of all electrical tools, testers, meters, and gauging devices. VOM’s amp meters, load devises, circuit testers, toners, etc.
The electrician needs to know how, and use; safety equipment, lock out – tag out devices and all other means to protect himself and others.
Proper use and maintenance of all related equipment and inventory control.
A strong understanding of the importance of job execution is necessary along with taking responsibility for their decisions.
Demonstrated sound organizational, coordinating and personal interface skills.
Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication and attention to detail.
Must be flexible with some nights, weekends and/or holidays for events.
Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and meet deadlines and function under stress.
Possesses computer skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Experience with electronic preventive maintenance programs preferred.
Ability to climb stairs, lift 40 lbs. unaided and perform work at high heights
education and formal training
High School diploma or GED required.
Journeyman License or proven experience level.
A minimum of 7 years as a craftsman with 5 years as a lead electrical position.
Experience in a service industry preferred.
Additional skill sets; welding, carpentry, locksmith, HVAC or mechanical a big plus.
Material and equipment used
Power/Hand tools, meters, Scissor lifts and forklift.
Office equipment: copier, computer/keyboard, telephone and fax.
