JOB TITLE: Group Sales Manager
Reports To: Director of Marketing

The Group Sales Manager is responsible for daily operations, including sales calls, making client appointments and achieving sales goals. Accountable for soliciting, managing, and maintaining Group Sales accounts. Markets and sells concerts, family shows, and sporting events.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (including, but not limited to…):
Responsible for sales, marketing, and solicitation of new and ongoing business opportunities
Promotes Group Sales for selected family shows, concerts, events and dinner packages
Assist in development and implementation all aspects of sales plan for family shows and elected events
Achieve/exceed assigned sales goals
Works with promoters on group sales plans and budgets
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients / tenant teams
Assist with development and implementation of revenue and expense budget for group sales department
Track and manage weekly sales and activity reports
Responsible for continuing development of Group Sales and creation of new revenue streams for department and venue
Interview, select, sponsor and evaluate Group Sales interns each semester; partner with HR for postings and offers
Perform variety of event day responsibilities as required Including but not limited to Dinner packages, Client outreach and servicing, assistance with promotional efforts, meet & greet, etc
Oversee the development and sales growth of Premium Seating Coordinator as a representative of the Group Sales Department
Active member of the onsite marketing team, aligning objectives and goals to those of the department and venue
Provide excellent customer service assistance to internal and external clients

NON ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in facility management, business management, business administration or related field/experience.
Previous sales experience is strongly desired
Ability to handle and return a high volume of inbound and outbound phone calls
Ability to travel as required, provide own transportation
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
Must have demonstrated ability to perform effectively under stressful situations
Demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
Must be available to work a flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends and holidays
Possess strong attention to details, organizational and communication skills
Exemplary customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in the English language, both orally and in writing
Possess valid driver’s license or have the ability to acquire
Desire to relocate preferred
Proficient computer skills including Windows, Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel.

While performing duties of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time constraints and with moderate to high pressure situations. Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including: following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. Employees in this role will occasionally be in leadership role; this requires directing others either verbally or in writing to complete tasks in prescribed time frame. This position also requires frequent use of interpersonal skills including: ability to direct/motivate/inform staff and foster collaboration, greeting and directing clients verbally and in writing. Employee must be able to recognize and resolve conflicts, and be able to openly communicate in writing and verbally with clients and determine an optimal solution to their concern. Employee will frequently communicate via telephone, email and in-person with others and exchange accurate information. This position requires employee to frequently work both independently or as part of a team.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently operate a computer and other office devices such as ticket equipment and software, calculators, telephones, copy machines, faxes and printers. Employee will also frequently move about inside and outside facility in various areas before/during/after events in the course of directing clients/groups to desired locations. Employee must constantly communicate via radio, telephone, email and in-person with others and exchange accurate information. Employee may occasionally be required due to business demands and event operations to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
The duties of this position are performed primarily in doors in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal to moderate during non-event days and moderate to loud during event days.
