Marketing Manager - Mass Mutual Convention Center (Springfield, MA)
Summary: The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring marketing plans and budgets, as well as designing and implementing creative collateral to promote the revenue generating areas of the MassMutual Center; including Convention Center, Arena and signage elements. This individual will help manage, supervise and coordinate all the activities of the Marketing department to reach budget goals. The Marketing Manager will implement marketing plans, manage event advertising budgets and promotions and ensure successful sales campaigns for events. He/she is responsible for maintaining relationships with media partners, and overseeing the media buying and billing process. He/she is responsible for public relations, promotions & publicity for the venue and the events: concerts, sporting events, conventions and shows within the facility, while developing creative marketing campaigns that promote public/community awareness. Individual must be able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, days, evenings, holidays, extended (long) workdays for an extended number of days as needed.

•While performing duties of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time constraints and with moderate to high pressure situations. Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including: following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. Employees in this role will constantly be in leadership role; this requires directing others either verbally or in writing to complete tasks in prescribed time frame. This position also requires frequent use of interpersonal skills including: ability to direct/motivate/inform staff and foster collaboration, being able to recognize and resolve conflicts, being able to openly communicate in writing and verbally with clients.
•While performing duties of job, the employee constantly operates a computer and other office devices such telephones, copy machines, fax machines, etc; occasionally move about inside the office to access storage areas, cabinets and office machinery; constantly move about the facility during events to interact with and service clients; constantly communicate via telephone, email and in-person with others and exchange accurate information. Employee may occasionally be required due to business demands and event operations to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
•The duties of this position are usually performed indoors. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud to during event days and minimal during non-event days.
