OUR MISSION:

To recruit and develop the finest individuals in the sports and entertainment industry. We believe that the internship is the cornerstone of a student’s professional preparation. It allows a student to apply classroom theories, concepts and prior experience in a practical, professional setting. We’ve structured our program accordingly.

• Our internship program is our primary source of candidates for full-time, entry-level positions
• Nearly 20% of our interns have been selected for full-time employment, and many continue their professional growth & development within the company

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Open to COLLEGE STUDENTS ONLY, Junior, Senior, and Graduate Students
• Must receive academic credit (students are required to provide documentation of receiving academic credit for the internship experience)
• NO financial compensation is available for any position
• NO interviews will be conducted by phone
• Travel and housing arrangements are the responsibility of the students
• Some game nights and/or weekends may be required
• Part-time or full-time opportunities available

OPEN POSITION(S):

MARKETING/PUBLIC RELATIONS

• Assist with Marketing Plan/Campaigns
• Handle the Junior Wings Kids Club including: creation of newsletter content, maintaining member database, signing up new members, executing all member benefits, and all other tasks assigned
• Handle charitable donation requests
• Assist with Grass Roots Marketing initiatives such as the handling of community appearances and other promotional events
• Assist in the execution of all special team events
• Assist with various research projects
• Brainstorm new marketing and game entertainment ideas
• Perform all other duties as assigned

MULTI-MEDIA

• Filming and editing video content for Wingslax.com and the Wings Season in Review DVD
• Developing new ways to incorporate multimedia and viral marketing into the Wings organization
• Building and maintaining photo galleries for players and organization events
• Organizing and archiving digital photos of team events
• Updating and maintaining multimedia aspects of the Wings official site Wingslax.com
• Updating and maintaining the Philadelphia Wings Official My Space Account
• Writing and posting new content of the website
• Editing and proofreading website content for accuracy
• Checking that the links on the website are functioning properly
• Miscellaneous team responsibilities

SALES

• Assist Sales reps with direct mailings including stuffing, printing letters, and labeling
• Attend community appearances to develop new sales leads
• Assist reps in developing and researching Group Theme Nights
• Create and mail Wings red status packages
• Perform all other duties as assigned
